krill oil = good stuff, but i like fish oil better.
how old should you be before taking this stuff?
Recent studies have shown that many very young people are at risk, have high cholesterol and high blood pressure, FYI.If you don't have a deficiency, I'd say you shouldn't bother. Although I'm sure someone like eits will say something like as young as possible.

Here's the problem though: there are more "problems" chemicals like ALA, DHA, and EPA can help with, not just cholesterol. They are physiologically important lipids, and the CNS has a lot of uses for them. Quite a few studies suggest a strong link between more omega 3s and improvements in some mental health concerns like clinical depression and ADD/ADHD.
When youth don't get enough, it can disrupt healthy neural growth. It's hard to not consume any, but easy to not consume enough with today's modern diets.

This is what I think he was looking for. Its a high dose little red pill. Walmart sells them, but I for one rather have the real deal instead of more processed stuff in my diet.I think you might be thinking of Schiff MegaRed Krill oil pills
I'm taking the Kirkland enteric coated fish oil pills and some red yeast rice pills, per doctor's recommendation. My cholesterol is pretty high, and hopefully this crap will help somewhat.
As I typed this, I burped at my desk, and now my mouth tastes like old salmon. The aftertaste of the fish oil is just plain nasty, but I've got enough in that damn bottle to last a few months.
Costco's where I've been getting mine, I stock up when they are on sale. I hated the fishy aftertaste of even the enteric coated fish oil capsules, I get none of that with the MegaRed krill oil capsules. I take one a day, with the other supplement/vitamins I take and I almost always do it with a meal. My LDL's way down, but I have no idea exactly why. My diet is certainly better.my personal exp- go with schiffs mega red krill oil. No other supplement helped me reduce my ldl and tg and increase my hdl.
costco has the 90 count bottle on sale now and then for $13
