A little too plain for my taste, but very classy (

When you say plain, do you mean the 1) face needs more things on it like extra mini-dials 2) maybe a thicker bezel or a more unique bezel or 3) a fancier bracelet/strap?

To gauge your opinion of plain/or not - is this too cluttered or just about right?

Looks nice, but for a little more than that price you can get a Rolex Submariner. Might not be your preference, but thats the only watch I ever want.

Edit: nm, just looked up the price of submariners. I thought they were a little more than 2k. Turns out they are a lot more.

I have the Seamaster, as well as the Rolex Blue Submariner. They both reside nicely in my sock drawer, and reflect back to a time, when I had something to prove. Now they only serve to disgust me.

It's fine but a little plain-looking for my taste too.

Just looking around the website, the Speedmaster and Seamaster Racing Chronometers looked more my taste (but then, I'm 21 and can't afford any of these watches)

The Seamaster Planet Ocean Big Size is cool too.

the aqua terra is a good watch. I considered buying one but then I decided to buy something nicer. Now if I can decide between the jaeger or the glashutte

what made you decide against the omega aqua terra?

I was also looking at jaeger and panerai too at one point.....like this panerai luminor gmt but decided i wanted something that will be classic and not attention-grabbing.

It's a lovely watch IMO, but Omega has had real reliability problems with the Co-Axial movements. I also kinda wish they had just stuck with a dauphine minute hand rather than that arrow shape, but to each his own.

i dont like that style of band on the watch. Also, Id rather have a matte finish like titanium with SS accents.

I could settle for the seamaster 300 M Chrono Diver in Titanium. 2225.80.00

The asthetics of that watch are pretty much what what I'd like... unfortunately it's out of my price range , as a poor college student.

Here's my el cheapo equivalent (which I possess) ....

Edit: I agree, the arrow is somewhat annoying.

Omega watch 2503.50.00

Same watch at Jomashop for $1850. I bought my Movado from there a couple years ago and they were the lowest price I could find. Definitely not knock offs or anything like that. I actually found them as a reseller through Amazon but I don't know if they do that anymore.

FWIW, I like it but I don't think it looks like a 2K watch. I think you could find a very similar looking (but obviously not Omega) watch for much much less.

I'm looking into getting a new watch for my 19th in may, probably a tag or an omega, under $1300 or so. I can't decide if its worth it to get an automatic or not, so as far as tag goes i'm debating between the Aquaracer Automatic and the Link. I also really like the Carrera. unfortunantly the Link Auto is probably out of my price range.

I would have to stick with a battery Omega, but i would probably go with a black seamaster or Aqua Terra

it looks nice at the pics but once I see it in person it is just OK. I'd rather buy a watch that I Really like rather than buy a watch that I like so so.
