I was thinking "Oh boy, more of the same Doom shots I've seen all week.

I was pleasantly suprised. Beautiful stuff.

If games of that caliber were becoming available anytime soon, I may drop $400 on a GF3. $600 though...

If these games and Doom III are available now, I would spend $600 for a GeForce3. I spent over $1000 to have a PC that could run Falcon 4.0 a couple of years ago ($700 for the processor ).

It looks good but for 6 bills they can keep it while I get my Radeon 64 for 200, and when the geForce 3 is 200, then I might buy one. A Radeon an Render all of those pics too, just no as high resolution.

I have more than enough money to buy a Geforce 3 it is just the question if I want to spend my money on that and not something else. When I spend my money I want to feel satisfied with my purchase and spedning $1000+ on a video card is not what I call satisfying.

Why pay $600 for a video card when you can get an xbox for $300 or less and it will also have a geforce3?

Incredible. Marvelous. Breath taking. Is there any way I can overpay when I preorder my GeForce 3?

So the hype begins, eh? Why do I have the feeling these games will offer gameplay experiences I've already had only with better visuals? Great graphics can't save a poor game design.

Anyway, it does excite me that eventually legendary designers/producers like Warren Specter and his team will make games with the GF 3 in mind. Deus Ex 2/3, Thief 3/4 will all be greatly enhanced by the possibilities of this new card.

fps = frames per second, a measure of performance. "bump" is just a post to bring a thread back up to the top of the page.

All of these screenshots really ought to have fps listed on the screen somewhere.

I'm going to hold off opinion until I've seen the GeForce3 in action. A

screenshot doesn't do enough for me, especially when there is no control subject. I'd prefer a identical screenshot taken from both a GeForce3 and another video card, possibly a Ultra.

I highly doubt that these new games are going to look significantly different on another card such as an Ultra, although they will no doubt run much faster with the GF3.
