I don't understand what consumer really needs a 1gig laptop if the only thing they do is use MS word apps? This laptop race is getting stupid. Some ppl don't even have 1 gig desktop yet what are they are going to do with 1gig lappys? Unless they are compiling Kernals or doing some heavy divx work then i don't even see the purpose for 1gig laptops. You can get the same performance for with a p2400 mobile, but then again thats just IMO, I could be wrong!
