Do not use bleach, they're being asshats.

Sweater probably shrank from being machine-dryed?

Fuzz balls probably came from the sweater also. If it wasn't supposed to be machine-washed or especially machine-dryed, then it'll rip and pull of tons of fiber that gets balled up and sticks to the clothes. So... I think you can perhaps get away with taking the sweater out and putting everything else through a rinse cycle then re-drying.

White detergent streaks on pants, I don't know anything about. Maybe try to soak them with water or something, or put them through a rinse cycle. Are these dress pants or just Dockers-type pants?

I would call you a retard for not being able to do laundry... but then again, when I still lived with my mom I remember she had some weird stuff that she would was in special ways every now and again.

Seriously how many people get everything right the first time. hypocritical"".

I dunno. When I was a small child, I tried to watch how adults did things so when it came time for me to do laundry, I knew how to separate darks and whites, delicates from normal clothes and what temperatures to use for what. Tossing sweaters in with t-shirts and cranking it on high heavy soil and then throwing in the dryer suggests a kid who wasn't paying attention.

This awareness also meant I had a good idea about how to drive a stick so I didn't become one of those 25-year-old guys who can't do it and need my girlfriend to teach me.

I've also learned that before I take on tasks that I've never performed, I proceed with caution and seek advice beforehand. This practice prevents disasters. This becomes especially helpful when you own your own home and decide to start fixing roofs and installing gutters, etc.

SO SO SO freaking true on every level. This is something I completely try to instill in my kids too. OBSERVE the world around you and how it works and how things get done. From the smallest, most mundane event to the largest. You learn from them all and make you a better, more independent person every time.

No body ever showed me how to "wash clothes" or "cook an egg" or how to change the spark plugs in my car... but through observation and a little common sense and patience, I was able to do these, and much more on my 1st try.

OP, if you are not indeed 12, and you screwed up the laundry this much, you're an idiot.

I wonder if he used bleach. When he said "really?" I almost responded to confirm he should only use a cup and a half..but I would have felt bad.

I am not too young to follow instructions. I AM NOT 12 as indicated.
I've just never had to do laundry. I have never seen my parents seperate cloths or put in special liquid etc.. 'and everything always came out fine.

Is this a Dryer problem or the Washing problem.

how have you never had to do laundry unless you are indeed 12? are you incapable of dressing yourself, tying your shoes, cooking, etc?

you know, all the things that even the simplest-minded modern human is capable of...

Ok. I tried the rinse, The fuzz stuff is not coming off. The pants are fine, the streaks came out. I'm drying them now on Low, and hopefully it'll be ok.

That sweater is Gone, she'll ask me where it is , and I 'll just tell her I did not see it, she' must've misplaced it at work, and someone stole it.

how many 2nd graders post here?

How does Laundry have an age association.

I have never killed anyone, does that mean I'm not 45 with depression, and lonely?

I have tried powder fiber, and that means I'm 78, because only 78 year olds have indigestion.:\

what's the big deal? op has never done laundry. I have friends who have degrees and make 100k a year and have never done their own laundry. My mom did not let me touch her washing machine period. I learned to do laundry on my own after I became an adult. And if OP has never done laundry it sounds like his 1st experience is pretty reasonable.

Get one of those lint roller things. It's basically a wide roll of tape with the sticky side out.

Lying to your mother...tsk tsk.
Why don't you Man Up and admit to what happened and then ask her to show you how to properly do laundry? I didn't learn laundry on my own as others here, but rather my parents taught me how to separate clothes and use appropriate amounts of detergent and bleach, and so on.

Good idea. Lie to your mom.
It about as good of an idea as trying to do laundry without asking someone how to do it.
She will be so proud when she finds the truth.
You fail.
