OMG! I'm scared..

[The Godfather]

5 minutes ago my dad calls me downstairs urgently. I run down to the kitchen, and there i see a SCORPION! My dad killed it, but we are all shocked. Scorpions shouldn't live in our area. I love in northern Georgia, wtf is going on?

One day i might get stinged by another one.

This one was smaller, but there must be a mother and a father. Its the middle of the winter, whats going on???

Scorpions are made out to be more dangerous than they really are. That is unless you're highly allergic to scorpion venom.

I'm just wondering, if lets say there are more. What should i do? I don't wanna put my shoes on and next thing you know i'm in the ER.

We were lucky this one was out in the open.

Call an exterminator. They should be able to take care of it.

Scorpions are herd animals so if you see one you can be sure you got a butt load. They usually hide from the light. Better leave the light on in your room tonight just to be careful. Also, they like to skitter across tile, sometimes sounding like a dripping faucet so if you hear that kind of sound when you're laying in bed, you might want to stay there, with the light on. Good luck.

i live in ga and ive seen alot of scorpions.

im deadly alergic to bees and one time i put on a boot and a wasp was inside. ever sence i always shake out my shoes before i put them on. it juts takes a couple seconds to do. just turn them upside down and give em a good hard shake.
