The Red Cross and Salvation Army both NON PROFIT organizations were on the scene in force probably well before the federal government was there in force.

I know several people who work with the Red Cross and I have met many others. These people are the most generous, selfless people I have ever known (one just finished her first round of chemotherapy and decided to work for the Katrina aid regardless). If they are a reflection of the organization they work for, then your accusation that they are skimming profits off the donations is revolting.

Your whole statement's bottom line is revolting. Your statement reflects selfish, hopeless, and angry attitude. I am so glad the majority doesn't think like you.
