Sorry you got mugged there, Kenny...Sux that it had to be more people making my skin color a tough one to live in...I know that this is the scariest thing, man-I got mugged for my bike here in NYC a coupla summers ago, and I was scared $h!tless, to the point where I didn't go to that park for a long time afterwards. You'll get over this soon enough...just keep your head up, and keep safe. Next time, try not to be getting money from the bank late at night...that is SO the wrong time to be doing anything money related...

You don't know what you're talking about. Mugging is catching people unprepared; that's what it's all about.

I've been mugged 3 times. The first time was some crack head that pulled a knife. I wasn't exactly in a good mood at the moment so I reached back like I was getting my wallet but pulled my sheath knife instead. We stuck each other at exactly the same time. He stuck his knife through my arm and I gutted him. We both just looked at each other and then I took off running. I don't know if I killed that guy or not but I hope so.

The second time was by a couple of guys on Christams Eve. I was drunk and had a handful of cash. They pushed me into an alley but I was so drunk I started fighting right away. One guy was holding a knife and I punched him right in the hand so he dropped it. The other guy jumped on me and grabbed me in a headlock so I punched him in the nuts and threw him against the wall as hard as I could. Meanwhile hoping all the time these guys didn't have more weapons. Well i couldn't fight these two guys off and eventually they got me onto the ground and one of them stuck their hand in my back pocket taking the wallet and my back pocket from me. Then they both ran off.

The third time was by a professional group of muggers; these guys had guns and were well organized. My wife was with me and my only thought was to give them what they wanted. I was raging inside and looking for a way to overcome the situation but I'm not stupid enough to put my wife in danger.

The point being, in each of these cases I could have easily been killed. The crack head mugged me and I only had a couple of dollars in my pocket but I was in such a "don't f@ck with me" mood I actually laughed at him and then pulled my knife. Luckily I walked away with a few stitches. The other guys I fought with I was too drunk to react any differently but I could have been quite easily killed and for nothing more than a few dollars.

My actions were stupid and definately not worth the potential harm to my life. Just because I reacted violently and walked away a couple of times doesn't mean I was smart, it only means I was lucky.

First of all, you don't need to be . You were outnumbered, and they kicked you down. Had you resisted, you might very well be dead or in a hospital instead of posting. Tell your parents and the police. If you got a good look at the guys and their car, chances are they will be caught if you give the cops accurate descriptions.

You've had a horrible experience. If you need someone to talk to about it, talk to a friend or family member. Feel free to send me a pm if you'd like. Do something to relax yourself. Curl up with a good book in a hot bath or play a favorite game.

In the future, you may want to carry a whistle with you. When I was in college, all freshmen were given a whistle to blow should a situation like yours had ever arisen. Pepper spray I've never used, but you might consider that as well. Imagine how those two thugs would have felt with an eyeful of that stuff.
