but what about two of these bad boys run 4 GPU's

you cant sli these since it uses sli to make dual chip
but you can run them in non-sli mode for 4 monitors on one card

have you seen the problems with 4 GPU's? its sueless. Wait another 6-10 months until they actually start really supporting the dual GPU cards.

Because they do.
They just call them different names (eg: quads), and disable some of them to give lower performance cards.
ie: 6800 is a 3 quad card, while the 6800GT is a 4 quad card, with 4 pipes in each quad for both.

seriously dont buy this shadowblade.

Its better value to get 7800gt sli, and better driver stability, sli has been over 1 year now so its matured. With this card u need special drivers and maybe there will be problems.

evga 7800gt at newegg for $284.00.

SLI evga 7800gt = 284 x 2 = $568

Anyway from your sig FX5200, arent u making a rather big jump?

Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't this card offer SLI performance for users with motherboards that have only one 16X slot? Also, wouldn't mean even on a SLI board that the card would be running at 16X speed and not be split into 8x/8x like current SLI boards (execpt for the new asus board)

Last I heard, the motherboard needs to support it (basically, the system has to be able to address each card separately). If it can't split up the lanes going to the slot (and most non-SLI boards cannot), it won't work properly.

How would two 7800GTs running with 16 lanes split between them be any better than two 7800GTs with 8 lanes each?
