Dental went up at whole $3/month for my wife and I, but they added a lot more coverage. Vision stayed the same as well.

Damn you Obama!!!

Both the wife's and my company's offerings premiums rose. Both of them specifically stated in a letter that the rise in cost was due to "changes to federal healthcare regulations."

Then I went and voted...

What did you do all the previous years when it went up each year as well?

Did you vote out the insurance companies?

I never got a reason. All I know is this week we were told insurance premiums went up 9%, with my company eating 3% of it (so 6% for us)

Never went up this significantly, maybe $10/month the past years. This year is was $200/month more.

Sounds like they need to shop around more. That is a lot.

But just remember..The GOP and Romney were for Obamacare before they were against it..so vote smartly

our HDHP plans haven't risen for 2 years. The other plans rose 5-13% this year, but those increased coverage a little.

One thing that sucked was the FSA account went down from $5000/year to $2500/year due to Obamacare. I didnt use that, but still lame over all.

Brag thread

My wife's insurance has gone up more in the last 2 years then the last 5 years combined. The biggest thing that pisses me off is that where she works supplements families more so a family of 10 usually pays 20% less in healthcare premiums than a family of 2*

Don't know mine this year yet but last year it was up 15%

Edit: The last option really annoys me. Its for catastrophic coverage only. $4,000 and $8000 deductables and you get a debit card loaded to pay for health care costs over the year. The debit card loaded amounts? $1,404.48 for a single, $461.76 for a two person or $1986.76 for a family. How the F does that make any sense?!

IIRC, the promise of PPACA was for considerably lower premiums...

Not to be picky, or anything...

I'm still screwed.

Even more screwed now that I can only put $2500 into flex. Guess Obama needed the extra cash to pay off some dead voters.

Yeah that is one thing i didnt like was the neutering of the FSA/HSA stuff. Should be encouraging that more IMO instead of trying to regulate it away into obscurity.

Seriously or just tryign to make a point? 40%? At that point id just drop coverage all together and save the money.

Unfortunately, seriously . At first I was outraged, but then learned that essentially this increase just catches us up with most other companies in the area, so we had a better deal before and now because of the increase we have roughly equivalent costs/coverage as others. Still stings though.

If that's a problem, I should really show you guys my tax return. I can barely afford a safe apartment but the government thinks I'm rich.

Thought the HSA was left alone ($6250/year). The FSA was not. I'm praying the HSA was left alone. $428/mo 10K deductible plan.
