I dont know if you all remember, but i was very critical of F3/F4 when they released. It only looks to me that now that there are no quests or storyline, these faults become evident to everyone.
Sure, it's a F4 asset flip; so? The game was bad already. There is no story?? But obviously, it's a MMO.
I agree that Beth should allow refunds, but people are crying about something that was super-obvious from day 1. As for the buggy-ness, i cant say, i do not have hands-on experience with 76.

Theres plenty of MMO's with stories.

People gonna hate me but I love Fallout 76. It's a total blast solo and a ton more fun with my friends. All I ever wanted from FO3, NV, 4 was an option to play co-op. 76 provides that and as for story...not needed in this online game IMO. We are making our own stories.

One of the things I enjoy is hunting down players...but never hurting them. lol I come down the road in power armor...high level and people run in all directions. I pick someone to hunt and its a blast...they eventually run into a mob and then instead of going after them I clear the mob and keep on trucking. I think I've confused a good many players now.

It's a fun game and its bug ridden but its a fun game.

The story is static ( as told by questgivers, in text only) and it's really told by the art as you move through the environments. To do the same in 76 requirez much more new lore, new art, new models, that would then remain in the canon. I dont think Bethesda is intellectually invested enough in 76 to get behind that.

76 is just F4 MP.

The problem is that FO76 is limited to 24 players per server, and you have a soft level cap of level 50 which can be reached pretty quickly. Soon everyone will be level 50 and have power armor, and that means that the gameplay you like will be pretty much over in another month or so. It is not the sort of gameplay that can sustain a MMO like game.

Well if they don't, the "Has Bethesda denied your refund request? Heres how to get your money back" Reddit ChargeBack thread might... (10k likes in under 18hrs for the OP's post alone) It's a pity they didn't just make Elder Scrolls 6. But as with many modern "It must be multi-player because micro-transactions" games, I heard the lead single-player designer / story writer took an arrow to the knee...

That is a very small part of the fun I find within the game. I rarely even do it but when I do it is a blast.

I agree though that as a MMO game it fails completely. I also agree that as of now there is no longevity to the game. That said I just want to play the game with a few good friends and have fun. I don't expect to play it more than a couple of months before I have done everything in game. Then I'll play when they release DLC for it. For me it's just a chance to play the fallout universe with friends. I don't consider it an MMO even if that is what the devs feel it is. It is not IMO. I expect a few months of fun and then off and on fun every time they release DLC.

I've played most of the newer fallout games, but this just doesn't look like something I would enjoy.
Mostly becuase I really don't like games with no endgame, and the no NPC's sounds like the saved a ton of money not having to pay voice actors, hepefully they don't end up releasing Elderscrolls 6 in the same fashion.

They already stated TES6 will be on the same engine, which is already an indication they want to do as little work as possible. TESOnline already exists though, so possibly we'll get a proper RPG this time.

In case you didnt know or care anymore (and who can blameyou), after the mediocrity of the title at release, the disconnects are refusal of refunds, the canvas bag scandal, the data leak, since jan 1 the key feature of the game - the unlocking of nukes to attack the enemy and unleash high-level events - has stopped working.

In a version of the Y2k bug, the game clock of this game released nov 2018, cannot cope with the year being 2019.

Because the lulz never stop.

Did Bethsoft fire all their writers? I mean, I realize that FO76 is basically a rehash of Fallout4 in MMO-lite form as sort of a cash grab. But 20 years after the bomb is a scenario that should be rife with storytelling and plot opportunities.
