In the end, I would have to say the female matures before the male does in a (closely matched) majority, however I'd say it's about 55% to 45%, and this is NOT and I repeat NOT necessarily a good thing. Maturity can mean DULL, although it can also mean realistic. There are benefits to both.

Guy, the matruity level of a guy after about 32 and one before that is like night and day. But they still fall way short in emotional adeptivity. The men I date are more often mistaken for being straight, myself included.
