On-board SCSI, LVD, SCA help!

I'm buying 2 Western Digital SCA 9.1GB U2 drives. I currently have an old Tyan thunderbolt with U2 onboard (68-pin and 50-pin). I'm going to buy 2 SCA 80-pin (female) to 68-pin (female) converters. Am I missing anything else? I've read my manual over and over, and I fear that JUST the adapters aren't enough.
Any suggestions? Comments? Recommended reading? Websites?

I've never used any 68 to 80 pin converters, but are you sure you want female to female? The ports on the mobo should be male, and the 80 pin SCSI cable should be female, so wouldn't you need a male to female converter?

Also, was there a reason you bought SCA drives, I'm guessing you got a good deal on them.

the converters.

Also you'll need an active terminator if the sca drives or the converter's don't provide it .(termination)

You also can go to scsipro.com and read the info on their termination/converter products.

There's pretty much just one type of 68 pin -> SCA converter, and they all set ID, provide a power plugin, and do the conversion. Just get two of those, and if they don't provide termination (probably wont), get an active 68 pin terminator for the end of the cable.
