Looks to me like the memory you posted is 2.5 and the Kingston is 2. I'd say that site is sort of trying to sneek one by calling it 2. It's 2, but 2.5, no?

Also computer shows are hit or miss and they always have a cover charge. Not a bad idea, but don't EXPECT to get what you are looking for.


On the subject of the RAM in this thread.

I just got this kit. It is the best ram I have ever owned. The performance increase was noticeable. Especially in battlefield 1942 and starwars galaxies. Windows response is much less 'laggy'

I ordered this last week, they tried to deliver on Friday. Hoping it's waiting for me when I go home today. Hoping it's a noticeable upgrade from the PNY with Samsung chips I currently have.. Got 512MB for $80AR. PC2100 with PC2700 chips and it's been running at 407MHz rock solid. Still, it'll be nice to upgrade to 1GB.

Judging by the part number, (KHX3200AK2/1G) this is not BH-5 chips that everyone raves about. The part number without the "A" in it has the BH-5 chips that get awesome overclocks at ultra low latency settings. Still an awesome deal if you're looking to run the mem at 400MHz FSB @ CAS 2, but don't expect these to be the miracle sticks that some talk about...

I received my "A" sticks today and they have a "Winbond" label on top of heatspreader. So either they are BH-5 or CH-5 which are both very good for this price. I havnt removed the heatspreader yet but i will and let you all know about the chips.
