You need to checkout with the passport button. if you checkout with 800.com checkout process you won't get your check from MSN reward.
Be sure to go to 800.com from MSN.com website

So the $50 GC can be applied at checkout, that's what some seem to be saying? How does that work?

I went straight to 800.com from here, not through MSN, but I used the passport button and all...will I still get the $60?

Purchase
Fuji 2600 & Memory & Camera = $349.82
All Sandisk on Sale = -$4.19
All Electronics on Sale = -$17.10
Total at 800.com = 328.53

After Purchase
Sandisk 64MB Memory Rebate = -$35
MSN Passport Check = -$60
AMEX Blue Pricematch = -$80
Total Back = $175

Total Cost = $153.23 and you get a $50 Gift Check to 800.com

Did I do something wrong or is this the total cost?

Here is the $35 rebate
$35 rebate

You must buy the media at the same time as the camera
>>

Youll have to call fuji for the rebate form so they can send it to you. They apparently arent taking printed forms.Must be original.

That's what I did...I haven't been able to check out using the Passport button for the past 2 hours. I just keep getting thrown back to the order review screen. Same problem whether I use a Macintosh or a PC. Spoke to their tech, and the only thing suggested was clearing cookies and restarting IE.

Has anyone had the problem and then successfully gotten around it?

Why does it charge me for the $50 gift card and then subtract it? Shouldn't it just be subtracting it? The way it looks, it's just a wash and I'm being screwed by some marketing exec.:|

Oh, and the 64 meg smart media card shows up as $49 once I add it to my cart. WTF!!!

Nevermind about the gift card, I see how that works now. I have to use it at 800.com later. But WTF is with the smart media prices!!!

Okay, I see what they are doing on the Smartmedia. They discount it on the bottom. They are still charging about $2 more than the listed sales price though.

Chexi,

It doesn't charge you for the gift card. If you look at your total of $328 the gift card is not included.

I don't think amex bvg will work since 800.com has its own pm policy. i may be wrong though...let me know if you find out differently

Okay. I give up. I'll just stick with my Kodak. I try to go through using my passport wallet and then it asks me to sign up with 800.com. I can just see some glitch here preventing me from getting my $60 back.

BTW, I don't see any way to apply the gift card to this purchase. The thread has been confusing on this. If anyone has actually been able to do this, please post.

Chexi,

You are not "applying" the gift card to the purchase. They mail you the gift card and you use it for another purchase.

I'm okay with getting a gift card later, but what I'm worried about is why I need to sign up with 800.com if I'm going through my passport wallet. Maybe I'm wrong here, but it seems like the passport wallet should have done all I needed to finalize the sale. Did this happen to everyone else?

Just talked to a Passport Rep.
They are working on the problem...and will be solved for about 2 hours.
so just place ur order 2hrs later: )

btw...i think this is better

buy the 128 flash meme instead of the 64.
so when u check out u have $356.58

come back with the $50.00 gc use it for another somthing..
so you will end up with $406.58 total for passport

and at the end you will get $80 back
this way you know as long as u used that gc...you will get anotehr extra $20 back

Well, thank you for the thread. It is a good find and a hot deal. That said, all these hoops have convinced me that I really don't need to buy this item, especially since I already have the Kodak from the Compgeeks deal a few weeks ago. This camera looks a little better and is smaller, but one digicam is enough for me. Besides, I already have a bunch of compact flash and would need to buy Smartmedia for this one. Even though the 64 mb would be just about free after rebate, it's seems like too much hassle. besides, the money would be better spent on the Sharp camcorder deal. Too bad I missed the gift card part of that. Oh well. Sighs... I guess I'll just keep my money this (first) time.

Ok I've ordered the camera through MSN passport. I've requested an original $35 off rebate ... But I'm hoping to save even more using the Amex Blue Pricematch. Where should I PM this camera too? Do I phone this in, or can I email it?

Thanks guys, great deal.
