Small wrinkle,
The ipaq 3635 is now, as of 1:30 PM EST, off the TC computers and Insight.com webpage. You can no longer print it out for a PM with Blue.

mine were supposed to ship on the 10th -- and three CSRs told me now it is no earlier than the 30th. Also, there is a long, long list of people that ordered before you whose order will be handled first

It's still there at TC computers. Do a search for "IPAQ", it should come up with several results. Scroll down, it's the 6th from the bottom.

AMEX BVG will not PM TC Computers because they listed the item as "Ordered on Request" and BVG does not PM special order product. I initially tried to PM my Radio Shack 3635 purchase to TC Computers but was denied for the reason stated. I ended up PMing to MacUniverse @ $310 with success.

Weird, maybe I have to clear cache or something, but when I search for IPAQ i get the 3635 but then get a not available message.

Can't you just buy it now at whatever dealer and then pricematch when the MSRP goes down on 2/1? Sounds like the easiest way to get this deal.

The best thing is that they updated their website to show "Not available" instead of "Order upon requested" which makes PM'ing with BVG valid.

get real---the PM with MacUniverse worked out without any snags? how long ago did you do it? i'm thinking about buying the 3635 B&M today, and PMing today as well, and if MacUniverse PM worked then booya, the 3635 for $160. not too shabby

PMed to TC COmputers on 1/2/2002
PM with TC Computrs denied on 1/11/2002
PMed to MacUniverse (next company on price search engine list) on 1/11/2002 while on phone with the BVG CSR who denied the TC Computers PM. CSR pulled up MacUniverse price while I was on the phone
CSR OKed PM to MacUniverse while on the phone and I did not need to submit a copy of the webpage. Told me I would receive my check for $39.99 within 3 weeks

My local sears has an iPAQ3635 for $599
Now I only need a place to PM with ....
...only which one?

I have saved the insight website which says "ordered upon request" but I don't know if sears will honor it ...

(I also now saved the website of Universal Computers wich sells the iPAQ for $310 (+$19 s/h) but the product description says "Does not qualify for Compaq rebate" ....

I would really appreciate it if someone could post his/her reciept from a store like staples or so ... I am sure PMing with sears would be much easier with it ...

Any other ideas?

Just got one at Sears- heres the dilema:

Total Price 599 + tax, = 635.99.

Now blue only does up to 250 per item, which means:
$635.99 - 250 (Blue PM) - 150 Rebate = 235.99

I'm not sure if you can PM AMEX Blue with a Sears purchase. I spoke with a CSR at AMEX BVG and he said that they can't pricematch an item if the store that you purchased from already has a best price guarantee program. As far as I know, Sears has one. You may want to double check this with a AMEX BVG csr yourself because it seems like every AMEX csr has a different script in front of him or her

My previous message was regarding PokeSmot's message about PMing sears w/blue. However, just reading through the Sears blurb ya posted it says "local retail stores". Might be tough getting a PM with online stores. If all signals are accurate though, the suggested retail price on the 3635 will drop once the rebate offer is past and you may be able to find a local retailer selling it for cheap. I was able to set up a claim # before the charge hit my card. They just asked for my name and card account number as well as the estimated pre-shipping/pre-tax price.

I just price matched it to TC computers. Amazon just shipped my 3635.

Amex told me that they are having problems with their 1-800 number due to the overwhelming calls!! They also said they are processing orders in 3-4 weeks as supposed to the original 2 weeks. Is this the famous AT effect?
