True but that doesn't mean you have to be miserable in the life you have. I know many people who would be considered dirt poor in the US but they're some of the happiest people I've ever met in my worldwide travels.

I'm not sure if I've met any dirt poor people on my travels. I think it's really tough to get away when you need to work your shitty job with no time off, no savings, and probably no inkling of the possibilities.

I have met a handful of college graduates though who couldn't get a good job. They had enough money to get away.

No!!! Perhaps that might fit your notion of what you might need to be doing shit with your life but I don't think that is an universal truth. It seems to me that what one does with what one has to do something with might provide everything one can hope to achieve...

Zaap came to tell us a few things, first that he feels mentally inferior. We see that because he calls himself Zapp, as if he had some real 'juice' running his brain, and secondly, by the fact that he his opinion is the intelligent one. Thirdly, like Bober above, he needs to slime psychological information because of it's power to expose this condition.

We can glean, then, from his post that he came stuffed full of himself and badly in need of a shit, which is his idea of entertainment to deliver. He believes that others do what he does, seek to entertain themselves by dumping a load of shit. He still has one hand on the vine, as we say, to indicate the fact that his mental development is way way down the scale. It would have been more accurate if he'd not named himself Zaap, the intelligence sparker, but Shit_Thrower, the ape.

Not to worry. Thanks to folk like him and the loads they carry, the roses in my garden are always in full bloom.

You are a liberal with a LBD. You fondle the word communication as if you can communicate and be communicated with. You are afraid to see that the path of communication as you understand it is a pointless undertaking. You are a believer who find solace in his belief. You can't be reached or reach anybody via logical communication as witnesses by the fact that you can't even hear this.

What you call mental illness I call not being caught in your mental trap and all of the absurd unconscious assumptions it is founded on. You are simple not emotionally ready for truth. Too much personal pride and too much fear of how others might see you. You become what you fear. Stop with the craziness fear. It will bite you in the rear.

Thank you. Shooting the messenger is an ancient pastime. My guess is that I am mentally ill because I point out to conservatives scientifically verified information that they rationalize emotionally dissonant information more than liberals do which also happens to correlate nicely with brain scan images of self reported liberals and conservatives which show differences in the size of two different parts of the brain known to be involved with this phenomenon. By posting this part of the equation I have upset our conservative posters here it seems. They deny they have a brain condition that causes them to deny such information. Big surprise there, hehe.

Further, I describe how liberals, owing to these differences, will not see how useless it is to try to convince conservatives of their denial by reasoning with them. This, I believe, is because of a very similar reason. They are terrified of the irrationality of conservatives, and especially terrified that the thing that they believe can bring people to sanity, logical reasoning, is totally useless for that purpose when it comes to conservatives.

So what we see is a useless and unending battle of wits between liberals and conservatives, with liberals shooting down one rationalization after another, only to find a new one appear. I am insane, apparently because it's not normal for people to talk about this. I think I must pose some sort of threat to somebody's favorite game. It seems folk enjoy beating their heads against a brick wall. I just believe that owing to political paralysis and the continuation of real world issues that need attention, we should pay more attention to the hopelessness of the path we are on.

I contend that all of this bickering is the result of ego, the refusal of conservatives to see how effing absurd their rationalizations are to people who can reason and how absurd liberals are to cling to reason to prove that.

I believe that if you don't see the real problem for what it is, you will not see a need to find a third way. I accept being mentally ill if that's what mental illness is.

I do. I had a wonderful time sneering at Zaap because I wanted him to know I can enjoy his low level crudeness as well as he can. It's what he came for. But to say it's the entire point is to imply that everybody sees the world as you do, an opportunity to insult others. I just want to make sure that when you do that you know the reason, that you see in others what you feel about yourself. Sadly, those who see others as scum see themselves that way. All the fun of sneering at others disappears when you realize that. I feel sorry for you that you do that to yourself. It's possible to be better than that and it feels good to wish it for others too. We give what we have. We are all the same so it's just good family values. We real conservatives protect our group.

I don't really feel sorry for you. You are, as I said, a machine. You say what you say because it's all you can say. You have no idea what you feel. And I don't enjoy sneering at others. I enjoy expressing the same capacity to reflect back at others that which they offer me. Take schmuckly there, for example. The poor bastard can't even read.

And this comment here shows exactly why so much of the world is just some quagmiring cesspool because much of the world not to even mention America does not even think and want to act in the way they want and want the world to go exactly the way they want. Yet that does not even begin to cover everything because much of what they want makes no sense even to them because what they seem to support does not even qualify as logical selfishness for the ignorant pleb that so often wants to do nothing but act on some ignorant psychologically placating whim.
