This morning, there was a very large thunderstorm that came through the area in which I live. When I woke up a couple of hours later, my computer would not wake up. It was on, but it just wouldn't wake up. So I hit the reset button, waited for it to boot up (which it did), and then attempted to go about using my computer. But, to my surprise, neither the mouse nor the keyboard were receiving power. Upon hooking up both my mouse and keyboard to PS/2 adapters, I learned via Device Manager that no USB devices hooked up to my PC were currently being detected. The best thing I can come up with is that the thunderstorm that came through this morning singled out my USB controller and fried it. Any other ideas? I would appreciate any input at all. I really don't want to RMA
