Once Upon a Monster requires Xbox Live?

Someone please tell me I am wrong on this.

It appears that if I have my 4 year old sign in with his profile that does not have an online account associated with it, that OUaM is completely unable to save his progress.

Doesn't it seem out of the ordinary for a game for little children to require an online-enabled account to even save progress?

Sadly being online may be madatory in the future for MANY new games....

Yes I think it out of the ordinary that you have to be online to save....

I'm pretty sure you are wrong, my daughter has OUaM and she's able to save her progress with a non-Live profile.

That is out of the ordinary. Do you have an option to select the save location anywhere? My only guess is that it's somehow defaulted to cloud saves on his profile, which does require a gold pass.
