Zorkorist will make series of one line posts causing the thread to balloon. It would be less distracting and annoying if he would learn to edit the original post like a normal person.

I'm a prolific poster when I post. I've already been warned once by ops, and I told him I would try and do better.

I'm sorry I annoy ya'll with my style of posting. I do not mean to.

I'm very guilty of this myself and I think I know where he is coming from.

My thought process is very to the point. Even when I'm not typing, I tend to think and talk in bullet points of sorts. Most of my posts reflect that...very short and to the point.

Zokorist; one thing that has helped me was to try to wait for at least 2 replies after my post before I replied. Not only does it keep the thread tidier, but it invites other poster to get more involved.

I do that sometimes but for a totally different reason. Depends on what I sense or not.

Thanks for the suggestion, rudeguy. I will try it.

It will make me think longer and harder about my posts, before I make them, as waiting for two replies is going to be hell.

Edit: I already have had two more posts in my mind, since I posted. But in this thread I have the luxery of just editing my post. In a fast moving thread, if I don't post again, then I just have to explain to someone - I edited my post... and THAT is a wasted post, having to explain to someone that you edited your post.

Secondly, this is a forum. The reason we come here is to read people's posts. AFAIK, all my posts contribute thougts and ideas to a thread. As I said, I don't mean to annoy anyone, but at the end of the game it really doesn't matter if I post a thought or two in one post, or two.

Finally, sometimes I multi-post for emphasis.

Anyway, I am well aware it annoys some people, and I will continue to try and do less of it.

Edit2: Also, in most of the forums I have played in, editing a post is somewhat seen as, what's the word... well, ...

The only people that know what you edited are the ops, and generally, they aren't playing. So editing posts makes someone "Question" the original post. "What did he edit? Why did he edit it? Did he edit it before or after I replied?"

It's just simpler and more straight forward to post new posts, rather than edit old posts.

considering most of your posts are in quick succession, even using the edit function half of the time would be a huge improvement.

Figure it this way. If you are able to get 4-5 posts in a row, then you are probably fast enough to get 4 or 5 edits in a row.....
