Waiting for somebody to suggest a song and get jumped on by other people who don't think it qualifies as grunge.

Grunge was born in 70's. The studio bands that were packaged and marketed as grunge in the 90's were actually the birth of Numetal, a melodramatic blend of metal and punk but lacking in cynicism.
Actual grunge is closer to garage/punk rock featuring cynical lyrics and decidedly low production values.

But yeah, that is a pretty good track in the OP. I remember in the 90's when I first heard the hype about grunge going mainstream, I was disappointed to learn they were only talking about metalhead junkies trying to sound hard.
Now I have to ask, how the F are Avril Levigne and Pink considered punk rock? To be punk rock you at least have to be rock. I believe they warrant their own genre, let's call it bunk rock.
