OnePlus2 or Nexus 5X?

Nexus 5X, I think. Better camera tech, and of course you're getting both the latest version of Android as well as timely updates for a good couple of years.

Funny I am debating the same for my father. I am leaning heavily towards 5X simply because of the software support.

I noticed OP2 doesn't have NFC. I don't use it much now, but kind of sketchy they don't have it, especially with fingerprint sensor, it would be perfect for mobile payment.

Depends. I think OnePlus is garbage, so it's not that tough of a decision for me.

And good luck if anything goes wrong with the 1+2.

I was a huge fan of my Oneplus One, not so much of the company. Heaven help you if you need support from OnePlus. I bought the Two earlier in September and sold it Two days later. It is a mid range phone with flaky software.

If you want to put all your hope into one bucket as OnePlus is now responsible for the hardware and software feel free as it is is a good phone but I would be Nexus by a mile.

Just take a look at the OnePlus forums if you want to read about the issues with the Two. It is not a 2016 Flagship Killer by any means as it can't even be considered a 2015 Flagship Killer.

Even if support was equal from both sides, I would still go Nexus.

You can.
No sure about your SIM but I just got a t-mobile sim (I'm on smartel, which is similar to how harbor mobile was) and the sim can be punched out from microsim to nanosim. It is a 3 in 1 sim, so you don't have to cut it.

I have the Mini-SIM with Micro-SIM perforations. But not nano-sim.

Why rule out the Moto X Pure ?? I finally saw the phone at BestBuy, it look much better in person. Phone was very snappy when I played with it.
Don't say size cause its barely bigger than the 1+2.

Get one of these.
No need to hold the phone while you are riding, just as I don't hold my phone while I'm running. Get the right equipment for the job.

Anyway I was able to convince him to stay away from One +2. For some reason he kept asking me to get him One+2. He is currently on iPhone 5 and wants bigger screen. This is a real problem for the older generation.
