Online backup service as a gift?

Does anyone know if the major cloud/online backup players offer the ability to give the service as a gift in someone elses name? I've looked pretty hard and none of them seem to do it presumably because they want you in a non-automatic subscription. I'd like to be able to buy a year or whatever for someone and have it expire at the end or give them the option to continue with it. Adding them as a computer on an account I manage isn't a good idea because then I would have access to their files and I don't think I would want someone to give that to me as a gift.

Anyone offer backup as a gift? If not I might have to just give them a gift card/cash for the amount but that's kinda craptacular.

Not an option to get them an external hard drive to use as a backup?

Or how about purchasing a year for them, then telling them the account info and asking them to change their password, so then you won't have access? Not sure how those companies work, if you can just change your password and/or email address tied to them.

yeah you have the right idea pyonir. I'd create a new email account just for this purpose and then give them the login info, and that should work.
