Online renters (Netlix/Blockbuster Online) - How many damaged discs have you received?

Seems like I'm averaging a damaged disc a week for the past month. My wife rented "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" and it was broken in half last week. Just received a MST3K that had a crack from the edge to center.

Just curious on the frequency of damaged discs for everyone else.

We use Blockbuster Online fwiw. But who know if it is the retailer's fault or the Post Office's fault.

I use Netflix, haven't had a single damaged disc out of the 100+ movies we have rented so far.

Only ever got one bad disc from any rental place, and that was 7 samurai from hollywood video which was not an online service and was early on when they first started renting dvds and I guess didn't have the buffing machine.

No problems with netflix so far.

Cancelled blockbuster last month. Was frustrated with the slowness and scratched disks.

None broken but my last 10 discs I'd say 5 were so scratched that I couldn't play them. they were crappy movies so it wasn't that big of a deal.

I've had a few with netflix but that's over 2+ years. some are scratched to sh!t but still play ok after I give them the palmolive rubdown.

I'd say maybe 5-10. Ive rented quite a few movies though.

One, in the past 75 movies or so with Netflix. I don't really get how they keep their disks so well maintained...but it's good stuff.

3 in 2.5 years with Netflix, 2 were cracked and one was scratched. Presumably it was the post man trying to shove them where they wouldn't fit.

About 6-7 scratched ones, where my player would skip or start jigging, and about 2-3 broken in half over 3 years that I've been with them.

ive received 2-3 damaged ones, and one that came in the wrong sleeve. i believe it was lion king in a full metal jacket sleeve. almost the same movie
