I am done buying the $10 sunglasses from the gas station, ive bought like 5 pair since march, its time i just bite the bullet and get a decent pair. I have a big head, and they seem to be made for small heads so they crack easily on me.

Ive seen places you can buy fossil watches for pretty cheap so I figure there has to be a cheap place for sunglasses too.

Hook it up!

I'm not a huge fan of buying sunglasses online. How do you know how they look on you, how they fit, and how good the quality is?

yeah I think i might have to go with the real thing....I could probably drop about $100 on them, but i cant see paying much more for a pair of sunglasses, especially when all of the ones i've had just break a few weeks later...if i ripped a $100 pair i'd be pissed

you realize that 5 glasses at 10 bucks a pop is 50 bucks....thats half way to a pair of real oakleys...

you would have been ahead had you bought a real pair in the first place.

Just step up and buy a real pair. Make sure you get polarized lenses.

well actually it was 7 pair for $50...some were buy 2 for price of 1

Can't get 7 different kinds of oakleys for $50, and hell I figure the oakleys will break just the same...this thread has yet to reccomend any stores online, guess that no such thing exists?

I am confused. Your topic asks specifically for fake Oakley's but your post indicatres you are interested in legitimate Oakleys, but at "cheap" prices? You should know that Oakley requires their resellers to sell at their MSRP. You rarely see it on sale and if you do, it's some special circumstance.

or you can read the topic, cheap oakleys, OR foakleys....

And why should I know that oakley requires their product be sold at MSRP? Whats to stop sellers from doing the same thing motorcycle shops do, have a "email us for our low prices too low to show on the website due to manufacturer agreements"

You should really try them on before buying. Personally I believe my juliets are worth every penny I paid a few years ago. Of course, you practically need sunglasses to drive about 360 days of the year around here so I use them constantly.

campmor.com carries some good sunglasses, always has sales. not sure about oakleys, but ive bought 2 pair of serengetis from them and have been VERY happy with the quality/price (having never had a decent pair of sunglasses before, there are great)

they have ray-bans, no oakleys though, some other decent brands. campor eyewear

I would try it on before wearing a pair of real oakleys. My Oakley wire polarized costs a good bit of money and the sad thing is I found a real big flaw with it. After wearing it for maybe a few hours I would start to see some cloudy vision which turned out to be the grease from my eyelashes. The wrap-around design was too close to my eyes and even after getting the eye doctors to adjust it, my lashes still touch the sunglasses.
<--- Asian male.

I don't know if it is, because I am Asian, but it is just annoying to clean them off every so often. The same thing happens with my glasses and I have to clean them every day.

Negative. All that extra money you pay partly goes into better materials, quality, and craftsmanship. The rest goes into the Oakley symbol since you're buying the "prestige" of the brandname. Unless you have a bad habit of dropping and sitting on your glasses all the time, I can almost assure you that a real pair of quality glasses will please you. More money does sometimes mean its better.

I have the big wire 2.0 frames from Oakley, very nice sunglasses. I didn't get the polarized version though. They certainly do the job.

Real oakleys are overpriced, but all the fake oakleys I've seen are total crap.

Campmor.com usually has good deals on decent sunglasses, like Julbo, Bolle, etc.

edit: doh sold out

Oakley has lenses for CLOUDY and INDOOR? BWAHAHA!!!

I should stay out of this thread, because I'm a cheapskate and don't see the point of $400 sunglasses.

I don't know about $400, but ~$100 for a high quality optical product is reasonable.

Anything with lenses in it, quality costs money, be it camera lenses, binoculars, telescopes, etc.
