Online Vendors for custom PC

Hello all,

I really don't have too much experience with online vendors to build a custom PC (I've always built my own). But I have a family member that wants tech support from one place but needs more customization then (ex) Dell offers.

The key issue here is that they want this PC to be based on the LIAN LI PC-V351 Case (yes this is a must have). I actually found one vendor while reading an article online that made reference to them but I can no longer find that article (or remember who it was).

I was hoping that I could get some suggestions here. I've tried:

avadirect
Velocity Micro
DigitalStorm

and the one the comes closest is pugetsystems.com.

and yes I am in the process of contacting all of them to see if there is anyway they can offer this case.

Short of going through each vendor and see if they even offer the case as part of their custom PC solution, I'd think you will have a hard time getting something like your family member is looking for.

Well, short of paying extra or buying whatever parts he/she wants and then ripping out the guts and placing them into the Lian-Li case. However you'll run into obvious warranty issues.

In the end I would think they may charge you extra for such an one-off request...

I don't mind paying extra, I know there is at least one vendor out there. Let me re-phrase the question. If you were going to buy a custom PC online who would you use?

I would imagine that any of the boutique vendors (you listed most of them) would be able to do a special-order case if you just call them up and ask.

i've got the same general question...i want a specific type of build (standard parts these days, but set up for video/large raw file manipulation rather than pure gaming) and am not really capable of building it myself. i'm trying to find one of the boutiques, but they are either really expensive (digital storm, maingear, etc) or have mediocre reputations (cyberpower, ava)....not sure what to do. the build i want to do is 1500 on cybperpower, 1800 on ava, and almost 2000 on digital storm. i'd really like to build it myself but have only done basic upgrades before and am willing to pay a bit to have someone build and warranty it. any new thoughts--thanks!!

NCIX should build literally any combination that you want to add to your shopping cart if you add the Assemble PC option (believe it comes with a 1 year warranty).

i will check out ncix and will continue my search. i'm in the sf bay area and happy to have someone build to my specs, or to buy the components and have something built, but don't know of any reputable shops near where i live.
