I was driving in the country after visiting my parents over the holiday and saw this....
I saw it last summer too but, didn't have a camera...
Apparently this guy hangs them up to show the others he means business....

You know what's disturbing? That picture I saw years ago of the guy in the emergency room who blew his lower jaw off w/ a shotgun.

That was in the 90's and I'm still creeped out...

This is quite common with older ranchers. I've seen entire fence lines lined with cayotes. Ranchers hate em because the kill calves and other smaller livestock. Don't have a clue as to if it actually works as a deterant

I think I agree with you, if he needs to protect his live stock I don't think hanging dead animals up is going to help much just attract more scavengers.

What an ass. Ranching in the coyotes' habitat and he has the gall to kill them. I say cut off his ranch welfare and let him rot like the coyotes.

Obviously if the farmer had the same display of rotting carcasses up last year, it?s not doing much to deter the coyotes. It might keep them away from that three but that?s about it.

Oh, just to be clear: I never said it was a GOOD idea, nor did I say that is was a rational thing to do. He may well be disturbed but I don't think this can be called disturbing
