The Super Bowl is always a bitter sweet affair for me. I love the game but at the same time hate that I have to wait almost 6 months before the glorious game is back on my television set. Ah well, at least we have the Grapefruit League upcoming... right? Ugh.

(Oh and I don't count the Pro Bowl for obvious reasons. TBH I don't know that I've ever even watched the PB.)

i guess that means there is one more week until the NFL cowers in fear of the Denver Broncos...Jay Cutler will lead the faithful to the superbowl next year...so i hope the steelers and cardinals have fun cause on of them is gonna be the last non-broncos team to win it for a while

Not too sad, it's been a good season, and seems to have lasted a long time. Still college hoops to look forward to (unless you're an UofArizona fan :/) and nba playoffs not really far away. After that we're pretty much screwed though. Baseballs sucks.

Yes...although at least we still have March Madness. After the spring, we go into the sports abyss known as baseball season. God do I hate May-September.

There is no end to the football season.

College recruiting signings is just around the corner. Then spring practices, NFL Draft combines and free agent signings, the NFL draft, then workouts, two-a-days, etc and before you know it, football games are being played again.

I am too, but I still think you're batshit crazy. Unless we replace damn near all of our defense we'll have the same problems as last year. Offense is pretty good if we can stay healthy but the defense sucks no matter what happens.

meh, i get pretty excited for the start of the season, but i don't get sad @ the end.

unlike hockey. i get sad after the first couple rounds of the playoffs because i know the end is near.

the first round of NHL playoffs is my personal sports heaven.

I really don't spend much time watching football. Occasionally Monday night football, but that's about it. I find it amusing that people will work 5 days a week, then devote 50% (or more) of their weekend to sitting on the couch watching the boob tube, especially when the weather is nice outside, then on Monday morning, "I can't believe how fast the weekend flew by." Of course, I listen on the radio a bit, but at least I'm doing something a bit more productive most of the time.

Went to a resturaunt last night and there were way too many drunks acting like madmen. Really LOUD madmen. Almost drove me nuts.
Left and got some fast food instead.

At age 29 I still havent figured out why people get so excited about someone else's accomplishments.

The same pointless experience will start again in the fall and it will be even more awesome and ridiculous than ever before.
