Only person in the theater for the movie you are seeing?

Has anyone been the only one in the theater for a movie you've seen?

I just went to see Knocked Up today at a 220pm show, and i was the only one in the theater. It was great...i've had a few movies where it's been me and the person i'm with, and that's it...or alone except for one or two other people...i love seeing movies like that. I saw Transformers it was me and one lady and her kid...and neither of them made a peep the entire movie.

Yep, a very very very late showing of The Phantom Menace after it had been out a few weeks.
Made fun of the move with a friend, it was great.

I remember going to watch Mr Bean with a few friends... It was just us in the theatre, and we were kind of buzzed.. We had a blast at an otherwise uninteresting movie...

Erin Brockovich
Reign of Fire
Ring Two

Can't remember but there were lots more.

The only time I've experienced that is when Black Mask opened up. I think there were only five other people besides me and my buddy there. I fell asleep 10 minutes into it.

Yeah, I watch a lot of my movies during the week and early in the afternoon, so if it's a smaller indie film, chances are good that it'll be just me. Then I can proceed to race up and down the aisles during the trailers.

Every single time I've been in a theater it was either packed full, or had more than enough assholes to make me wanna leave halfway into it.

Have preferred DVD's and my couch for the past 7 years.

when did the first LOTR movie come out? That was the last time I was in a theater.

Yes, I've been with my friends as the only person in a movie and there was usually a reason for it... the movie was bad.

That's probably because that movie has been out for like 2 months now. you're the only one who hasn't seen it yet.

you know, i love going to the movies b/c I like to get wrapped up in the overall experience of a big screen and surround sound.

I try my best to go at times that I'm sure there won't be too many people.

What I fail to understand is why in the wide wide world of sports do theaters provide such noisy food? I detest having to sit near popcorn crunchers, nacho chip eaters, and plastic bags ripping open.

I ditched summer school one day to go see The Phantom Menace, it was like 10:30 in the morning so I was the only one there.

yea. gf and I went to go see an afternoon showing of Rush Hour couple months after it came out and we were the only ones in the theater. Halfway thru the movie I hinted at getting frisky right there. She didnt like the idea too much

MARCH OF THE PENGUINS! A lot of my other friends were seeing The Skeleton Key, and my other one was interested in the penguin flick so I went to that instead. I think it was the first week it was out, and it was a good choice. As soon as it finished we walked in to see the skeleton key's ending, WEAK.

When I went to see The Hurricane with my wife (who was not yet even my girlfriend... I think we'd known each other for a few weeks then), we were the only two people in the theater.

Having other people in the theater isn't really bad... you laugh more when people around you laugh. Although when I went to see Office Space in the theater, the girl I was with and I were the only two people in the theater laughing. Everyone else was old people.

Yeah it just happened for the first time ever.. I went and saw 1408 last week at around 10-11AM.

I was skerrd, but I held mah own.

Dude i was just going to post that. Do all of you really go by yourself? Now I've been at a showing where it was just me and the person I was with. But never by myself because I would never think to go see a movie by myself. That seems so.. lonely.

haha...nothing wrong with it. Not like you can (or should be) socializing with them during the movie anyways. I've never understood why people wouldn't go to watch a movie on their own...

There couldnt have been 4 people in the theaters.

I used to (and still do) go to movies by myself all the time. Best way in my opinion.
Why do I need somebody there with me? Not like I'm talking to through the movie with them or anything.
