update: Just got back from my source. These puppies are IBM refurbished with 3 months warranty. HOwever, past experience with IBM refurbished products are very successfuly indeed.

This deal is direct from IBM. IBM is a very reputable company and not like those amaterus (egghead , ubid ....etc). CALL IBM TOMORROW MORNING AND I guarentee you these monitors are there (if you are early enough). You can just ask the IBM CSR about the sku# They WILL tell you "OH we only had 1 and just sold it".

I don't know anything about whether or not the deal is accurate or not, but I have this monitor and love it. Great picture, my only complaint is that there are 2 really tiny lines that run across the screen that are pretty visible on a white background. I was told that this was just something that comes along with the trinitron picture tube. $375 is an incredible deal, I don't know whether or not it is refurbished, but I got mine new for about $600. You will never go back to a 15" again.

Those lines are there on all Trinitron monitors...I have a Sony 17" and have them too...I don't find them too annoying...got used to them very fast...

These really sound like refurb'd monitors. When you call Monday, confirm with the CSR that they are actually new and then post here what s/he says.

I'm not sure about those IBM monitors, but I'll say this...
I have a Sony trinitron monitor (15&quot and I DON'T EVEN USE IT !... the picture is great but the newer monitors (even the 17" $120 GEMs I bought at FRYs on sale with rebate) are MUCH better because they TURN ON RIGHT AWAY.
Without the newer energy management, even a great quality monitor can be annoying while you wait for it to wake up. My home network uses 2 LCDs and 2 "cheap" but newer GEMs and kix butt.
...meanwhile my 2 year old SONY TRINITRON collects dust.
i.e. I would not buy an older refurbed monitor.

p.s. If someone in LA wants to but my Trinitron cheap, its yours.(has built-in speakers,sound controls, and more)

If someone buys one please report back to us on all the details on what the end price is, if it is refurbed, etc. If this turns out to be IBM clearing out old trinitron models that are new then I would consider it a VERY hot deal, but it seems too good to be that. More likely clearing out refurbs. Still worth a shot, let us know!
