Onvia sucks now

I'm in toronto and I just bought a whack of stuff from them, including 3 of the antec sx830 cases. I have bought many thousands of dollars worth of hardware from them over the past year, with their great prices, service, and discount coupons. Don't know where else I could have got alot of that stuff without paying ridiculous customs handling fees for buying stuff from the U.S. Canadians have pretty limited options for good places to get their hardware -- onvia.ca will be sorely missed.

RE: Canadian Onvia - looks like they're charging a minimum 15% restocking fee now too. I won't do business with Insight. Visited their site once almost two years ago, and somehow got onto their mail list and they REFUSED to take me off. Got their spam mail every day, and then setup my mail to forward it right back at them. They eventually got the hint. Guess I'll just have pay more and buy locally. Just glad I didn't become a shareholder

well guys i definately wont buy things from onvia again ! Last time i bought a enlight casing with 250 ps but end up sending me a 230 power supply ! The bad thing is ...i discover that a few months later.. .. next time when i buy anything i will check first!well..anyway i wont buy things from them again!

They may not go out of business after all. I've watched their shares go from around .50 a week ago to $1.88 yesterday. My investor friend and I did some investigating, and it looks like they're being bought up [as in] takeover. We also found a press release stating that they were joining forces with another, but succesful, business to business online company. They're just not going to be the Onvia we once knew.

Well, Onvia was bought out by Firstsource.com... most prices have been raised, a few have dropped. The shipping charges although they may seem like a lot, most other places charge the same shipping charges. Onvia still seems like a good place to buy certain products that other online retailers might not have. Even though you have to pay shipping and the prices have rised, I'd still buy from them again. Luckily I got in on that Antec SX1030(b) and SX830 deal before the change...

Mercata is gone, so is Mobshop... any others we forgetting to mention? By the way, anyone partake in the Mobshop promotion a while back? Spend $100 or more and charge it to a Visa and you'll get $25 rebate back... I still haven't received mine.
