What question and when? It's not as if i spend much time here. They were reported by Biden and his team of lawyers as classified documents. As far as i know they're still in the middle of a cover-up and no one outside of his administration has seen said documents. The National Archives were instructed by the Biden administration to release no information on the discoveries (which is why it took months for the information to become public)

Senators get to see confidential information and are given confidential briefings. At the end of their terms their offices get packed up with the help of staffers. If any confidential files have gotten commingled with regular files and staffers are hurrying to pack it up then you end up with confidential files sitting in your closet or garage.
Quite frankly since Biden & Pence & AG Gonzales have all accidentally found confidential files improperly stored in their homes and offices the whole process needs to be revamped with better training, document monitoring and probably being more conservative on what actually ends up as classified.

Trump on the other hand gave the FBI ample evidence of his willful retention of classified documents.
