Myself....7 years, the first was spent in the ASA (Army Security Agency), the rest split between working for the CG of the US Army Material Command in DC, and the rest with a combat engineer battalion attached to the 101st.

As an addendum....my maternal grandfather retired as a 1 star after WWII; my father graduated Annapolis. Military service sorta runs in both sides of my family.

I served over 20 years with the Navy nuclear weapons programs as a Missile Technician. Specifically Polaris A2 and A3, Poseidon C3 and C4 and Trident D5 Programs.

The last time I witnessed such an evil morbid smile in ones face was in those old Adolf Hitler documentary flicks.
That same look just after old Adolf finished one of his ranting arm waving speech, then turned away from the crowd facing his staff.
If you look closely you see the very same evil sadistic smirk on Adolf's face as we seen on Mitch McConnell's face as that vote was assured to pass.

So were you originally an FTB and got shifted to MT or were you always an MT.

I was Never an FTB ( Fire Control Ballistic ) or as we used to call them First To the Beach.

When did they shift any FTB's to MT's ( Missile Tech ). It must have been after I retired in 1993.
