Almost everyone says this. WTF. The human body is not that fragile. Sure there was a higher than average chance of her breaking her neck, and in lab conditions you could probably prove conclusively that had she landed a certain way her neck would've snapped like a twig. Wonderful thing about humans (and most animals) we have active countermeasures, namely our arms, to prevent such a landing; and we use them by instinct.
The only definite way to snap your neck in that scenario is to basically tilt your head back/to the side and land on your neck/face. Fortunately her instincts tucked her head in at the last moment, preventing such a disaster. She's fine, as the vast majority of people would be in said scenario. I laughed.
