OOS! BFG - NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT OC Graphics Card

I get some artifacts after about an hour at stock settings in Crysis. I've seen my temps get up around 85 when this is happing. When I turn the fan up to 55% my temps max at 73ish but the fan is loud. I'm leaving for a 4 day weekend hunting but I plan on talking to BFG about this when I get back less I pick another one up and return my current one.

Dang, I live in Lansing too, and just checked and they still have them instock. I'm gonna have them hold one for me while I debate whether to get it, or wait until the new cards are put out in February.

If the card runs hot and heavy call BFG and tell them you are having issues with it. They will setup an RMA and you should receive an updated card with the new bios/fan.

I just bought one from the store and the 12% coupon worked. It didn't scan so he did it manually. The person who ringed me up was an EMO person and seems like he didn't care.

Edit: Just reading the receipt. Says there is an extended exchange period for "gift" purchases made between Nov. 1 - Dec. 24. Can exchange up to Jan. 31 2008. So if you have problems, maybe try an exchange the card later in Jan. for updated fan models?

I bought this card about a month back at best buy for $217 w tax and i got my credit card bill and it says that Best buy only charged me $180 for it. They must of screwed up when i went back to price match it with the 12% off.

just got the only one on the shelf in minnetonka (means 'dick shrunk from freezing' in some native tounge, i think), mn... $223 out the door... me and the card will start the unthawing process tomorrow back at home in orlando... can'd dell order...

and it's the 'old' fan...

It works just fine, all their coupons work fine on sale items, Circuit City seems to work the same way. They don't even ask, all they have to do is scan it, nothing more needed to be done.

Well its best buy. Some managers at best buy are extremely anal. They may actually deny some people for the coupon, cause it does technically say its valid on "regular prices only. The chick I was talking to at bestbuy said her managers are really picky also, and they have to fully read the entire coupon and make SURE its valid for that item. Thank god I didnt have to talk to the managers.

But yeah...ive never had any problems. The chick who helped me didnt care. The coupon did not scan though. She had to manually enter 12% off.

Anyone experienced will tell you deals at bestbuy are always YMMV.

I think most are doing the return and rebuy thing to get the 12% coupon to work.

All my local stores have been OOS since before the first sale and I noticed one went in stock last night. I just checked on the mobile browser and it seems all the stores just went in stock but I don't trust that the mobile browser is displaying correctly.
