That is intolerable, you should have it RMA'ed for that bent metal slot holder! Uhmm.. yeah, just let me know when you have it shipped out, so I can call them and cuss them out for shipping out such an inferior video card.

Same here. I received mine today except it did not have any bents. Seems to be in perfect condition. And they shipped it 2nd Day Air UPS. I haven't tested out the card yet because I didn't want to turn my computer off and I was too lazy anyways.

Ah, received my 2 cards today - ordered via 2nd day shipping. Both cards were white boxed, in unsealed static proof bags, with 2 cds - one marked drivers, the other had utility stuff on it - acrobat reader etc. No cables came with the card - ie, the tv out is svideo, but no svideo cable.

Just got my 2. I pulled the heatsink off the GPU and there is a lot of white thermal paste, the ramsinks are held on by thermal adhesive and can be pulled off easily if you warm them up, also the ram chips wer Hynix 3.6ns.

I ordered 5 of these. I took the ram sinks off 1 card and it has 3.8ns ESMT memory. I've only tested the core up to 230MHz, but the memory is perfect at 520MHz. 530MHz has severe corruption. The output filters on the cards are very good. I'm running 1600x1200 and the 2D quality is comparable to the LeadTek Ti200 I have. Both are very clear.

Edit: 4/5 have 3.8ns ESMT, 1 has 3.6ns Hynix. I'll test and keep the Hynix one.

I just pulled the ram sinks off of my second card and it does have ESMT 3.8ns ram. So i have one with Hynix 3.6ns and one with ESMT 3.8ns. It would interesting to see if any other types of memory were used on these cards.

yeah they are prolink. i have a robanton card i bought from ebay a couple weeks ago, and those are made by prolink as well. they have that distinct plain look with the same heatsink etc.



prolink seems to use higher spec ram than other companies. my gf3 ti200 has 4ns ram, and the cooling setup was said to be pretty good according to the anandtech review. i have mine running at 220/470 , oddly the ram wont hit 500mhz even though its 4ns, and should hit 500 easily, i figure prolink has some aggressive memory timings in the bios. seems to be of pretty good quality, i mean all geforce cards are pretty much the same anyways, at least prolink doesnt charge you for a wierd colored PCB or a really crazy looking yet really crappy heatsink (i.e. leadtek)
