Dang I was going to just put in 2 X 256 MB but 2 X 1 GB for $99.99 delivered and Newegg has the same RAM here: Patriot 2 X 1 GB Memory


I just couldn't pass up the deal. So far I have bought an ECS K8M890M-M Socket AM2 motherboard that Outpost has for $39.71 + shipping, A Seagate ST3160812AS-RK 160GB SATA Hard Drive for $39.99 delivered. And now the memory.
All I need is a good processor.
I have seen the Fry's MB/CPU combo here, but currently I live out in the sticks in Southwestern Kansas and there are no Fry's in Kansas. I am very grateful for Outpost.com and the awesome prices!!! I am also grateful for this awesome forum that keeps less fortunate (financial wise) individuals such as myself from spending an arm and a leg for the same products or even worse (by buying Inferior products).

That's the way to do it.

And this is a great time to be looking for DDR2 memory. Several months ago I was working hard to find 2GB kits for less than $200.

I order a set of this ram from Frys about 3PM. Shipped free. It was delivered the next day before noon by a guy in a small van! I am in Houston and they must have supplied from one ot the local stores. Do they do that???

I jumped on a set. Couldn't resist. I'm updating my PC to a E4300 from an AMD 64 2800+ so these will come in handy. Now to see if I can get to Fry's after work before the E4300/ECS combo is sold out.

Don't know. They don't have a distribution center or anything at all in TN, and I get orders in two days via DHL all the time. I love Outpost. No tax, and fast shipping.

Now if they would just get some decent deals going on 8800 cards.

meh....I just got back from Frys (got in on the e4300 combo for $119.99) and checked to see if they had any deals on this RAM.

None to be found at the Fremont Frys. It was $144.99.

IIRC outpost.com/frys.com has a deal with DHL where DHL runs regional warehouses stocked with most popular items and can get the item to your door within two days even if you order with ground shipping.

In all seriousness this is an outstanding deal. I never thought I'd see 2GB of DDR2 667 for <$100 shipped, but here it is :shock;

I got the Super Talent 1GB sticks for $125 shipped for 2 back in March and have been happy with them. 900MHz+ CAS5 @ 2.0V is outstanding for value RAM.

I got this B&M at Fry's albeit for a little bit more for $114 since I lost my damn credit card so I can't buy anything online for while until they send me a new one.

This is truly great ram. Have been running some for a couple of weeks a 450 rock solid and cool. With some Vantec copper HS it even looks great. Recommended highly.
