So now, $229.99 AP ($30)! Even cheaper! (Now I wish that I had waited a week to get mine, sigh. At least, it's making a couple of bucks mining in the meantime.)

$239.99 FS after promo code ($50 off)

This is a pretty decent deal for a NEW GTX 1660 ti. It is a triple-slot, make sure that you have room!

MSRP for GTX 1660 ti is around $269.99-$289.99. I've bought factory-refurb units that cost more than this.

Of course, lower-end Ampere cards should be out by the end of the year (2020), and will blow away the GTX 1660 ti (and have RTX!) for the same price. It all really depends if you NEED to buy a GPU NOW. This is a medium-grade 1440P card, but the RX 5600XT is better at 1440P gaming, for roughly the same price. (Maybe not as cheap as THIS card, though.)

If all you want is to slap in a decent 1080P gaming GPU NOW, then this wouldn't be your worst choice.

Edit: BTW, I know NOTHING about the game + "skin" offer, so don't ask me about it. I didn't see any free item added to my cart @ Newegg when I bought my card, so maybe the offer has expired, or maybe you have to click that link, or maybe you have to register the card and go through EVGA to get the "bonus". I could care less, I just wanted the card.

I am pretty happy with my 1660ti.

Mine is super tiny I don’t get why this one is so big but whatever I am sure it cools better.

Yeah, I have a few Gigabyte ITX-sized single-fan GTX 1660 ti cards, they run fairly cool, those are in a mining rig.

Anyways, the GTX 1660 ti is a GREAT card, IMHO. Very versatile as a mining card, and also a decent somewhat 1440P gaming card, certainly usable as a high-refresh-rate 1080P gaming card (assuming that you have the CPU grunt to run high refresh-rates).

The only real issue(s) with it are: 1) the GDDR6 was an earlier design, and only specced out to 12Gbit/sec, and 2) after the GTX 1660 Super was released (with 14Gbit/sec GDDR6), the GTX 1660 ti didn't make much sense from a price/performance perspective, relative to the 1660 Super, which only had an MSRP of $229.99.

But this deal brings price/performance back in line, and actually worthwhile to purchase. (Assuming that you can fit a triple-slot card, that is.)

I've not actually used THIS model GTX 1660 ti, but I did order one, so I'll see. It may be for a friend, I have to see about that too.

BTW, I have RTX voice working on my 1660ti and it does appear to filter out my background noise. I haven’t tested it much but a buddy said it sounded good on a zoom thing.
It can also filter out others background noise but I haven’t enameled that.

Well, I received my card today. I opened it, just to double-check, because the box, even though it is extra-wide, says under requirements, "dual-slot", when it IS, in fact, a TRIPLE-slot card. Just a typo on the box, I guess.

You mean like the 3050? The 3060 will be above $300. You think the 3050 will have RTX?

I'd be really surprised, especially in 2020 much less 2021 even. I bet Turing gets a refresh for the lower end Ampere cards, like maybe 1660 Super gets rebranded 3050 Ti and 1650 Super becomes 3050.

That would be ... disappointing. Though, AMD has done that many times, and NVidia too, but mostly sticking to the lower-end segment (that doesn't exist anymore) - the GT series of cards, full of rebrands. Usually the GTX series of any given generation is NOT a re-brand, though. (It may have happened a few times in the past.)

Don't have to go too far back to see rebrands though. Look at the 700 series where 770 was a rebranded 680 and 760 a cut down 670.

Worth the upgrade going from a 1060 or should I get 2060?

I'd wait to see if AMD has anything decent to replace the RX 580, or if they're forced to slash prices on the RX 5700 series. I have a 1660 Super and it was a noticeable upgrade from my old GTX 970 (would have just stuck with the 970 had it not died on me) but nothing mindblowing.
