I've been having this problem for a while now, and I haven't been able to figure out how to fix it, so I was hoping someone here might help.
I have a computer running Windows XP with 3 harddrives (1 for programs + 2 for storage). When I have folders on either of the storage harddrives open it often causes Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) to become non-responsive, and I'm forced to open taskmanager and close down the folder that way, which makes Windows Explorer restart.
I've tried using check disk to fix file system errors, but to no effect.
Is there any way to fix this problem or is it something I'll just have to live with ? And furthermore can I expect to see this continue if I move the two storage harddrives to the new Windows 7 computer I'm building ?
