I borrowed my friend's GeForce 3 for a little while and I've been implementing some simple Vertex Programs using the Nvidia's OpenGL Sdk and such. I haven't touched much Direct X so I don't know how it works. Anyhow my question was regarding if anyone knew how the Radeon 8500 OpenGL Extensions worked and if there was any real support for Pixel/Vertex shaders in OpenGL. It seems like the Radeon 8500 went all Direct X. Are they not supporting the OpenGL extensions for their own card?
I like to program, and if it is easier to program for a R8500 then I guess I should cancel my R8500 order and get a Ti-200. Any suggestions / comments?
