I downloaded it and installed it..seems pretty cool so far, except for one thing..if I start browsing forums and go into a thread, after I read for about a second..the page will refresh, once or twice. It almost always refreshes the page..Does anyone else have this problem?

Edit: this actually happens on any page..but not all the time.

Navigation->Reload Every->Enable

Make sure there is no checkmark next to "Enable"

Besides a little glitch when scrolling down while the banners are loading, its seems pretty good, well that and a bug that places a "Y" at the end of the word "EVER"

What? I have automatically reloading disabled, but it still refreshes most pages I load after a few seconds..

Where are the ads in the free version?

I believe they will appear after 14 days on the free download version unless you register your Opera which means paying for it.

WOW, I may be late on this one, but I just found something out about Opera7. I'm not to sure if IE can do the same (I don't think so).

Example, TP's post, where he states "I just wish yahoo and opera", double click on "yahoo" and a drop menu will appear. In the drop menu click "Go to URL". You can also translate, search etc... That is cool!

Based on this thread, I decided to give it another shot. (Had probs with the O7 beta.) Well, it IS faster than heck, but WTF is the deal with BOOKMARKS?!?!? I imported my IE favorites and there doesn't seem to be any way to organize them other than alphabetically. You can drag 'em around like it IE and you can't move them as you would in NS. What am I missing here?

TWO QUESTIONS:

1) Can I import my IE6 favorites into Opera?

2) Does it kill popups? Or do I still need to use my pop-not popup killer with Opera?

Yes, that's what I did. You just can't seem to organize them.:|

Other things that don't impress me:

- The "Wand" feature that saves passwords doesn't work.
- You can't highlight and drag text around. Lame.

IMO Phoenix is better

Tabbed browsing, extensions, themes. Mouse gestures, small google search bar. Lite and compact

Opera may have better cookie managment, though I never worry about cookies

1. Yes
2. Yes, and you do have options. Like open up requested pop-ups only. Example would be when you PM someone, if you have pop-ups off the PM window will not appear, however if you have it set to open requested pop-ups only the window will appear.

Why can't you organize them? I can!

Here is a screenshot: Manage Bookmarks

As you can see I haven't done all of them yet.

How do you move them around? They imported and combined with the OEM BMs in alphabetical order and I can't move them out of alpha order.

Another stupid thing: Where the heck is a History list?!?

You can drag and drop or cut and paste. You can also right click on any of the bookmarks for more options ie. sort, delete, new etc.

History is under prefs>history and cache

No, you can't. Cutting and pasting only drops it into the list in ALPHABETICAL ORDER and dragging doesn't work.

History is not available as a list like NS and IE, either. How do you see a list?

Unless you can give some real step-by-step instructions, I'm gonna assume you're just an Opera employee hyping up downloads.

Its just a browser man.....

Take a deep breath...Click on the Star and Open your Hotlist...History is in the Hotlist Tabs..... Click on the bookmarks tab thats in the Hotlist, Right Click on one of your bookmarks and go down to "View", there you can choose how you want your bookmarks listed (my order lets you drag them where you like).

The Hotlist really is handy, If you have high enough res and it dosent get in the way I would just leave it on
