Seems to work better with AJAX sites or in Gmail even. I like the address bar functionality when typing in an adress and dropping down and highlight the corresponding words.

The different tab styles are taking a little bit of getting used to.

Hopefullt test out some more functionality later tonight, but it doesn't seem to be using as much memory as it used to either.

Yay for Opera

Yeah, when I opened it up the first time and saw the new tabs I was confused. But it's growing on me and it's pretty cool.

oh damn i'm so excited!!! soo pretty

Edit:

Flash seems more responsive too. and it's nice to be able to close my tabs with Ctrl+W again (concering pages that have a flash app on them)

I really like the new skin too; although, determining the tab that is in use can be difficult at times

Works fine here. Tried with clean install? Sometimes Opera can get bit weird if you install it on top of older versions many times.

It does seem to work better in most ways but I'm having trouble with the new look.

The new skin didn't appeal to me until it died ( UI turned completely black ) and disappeared, leaving only the Windows skin as a choice. Does anyone know how to re-download the default 9.5 skin? It wasn't obvious to me within the Find More Skins option.

I have been using it on and off for the past couple of versions. This does seem to be an improvement. I did notice that it still does not like yahoo mail.

tools\preferences\search

Highlight the search-engine you want speed-dial to use & select edit\details & check the appropriate box.

Horrible release. They put in a new mail format that changes the way
the .dat files are from the older version. There are also changes to the
way it does file downloads. And they changed the cookie format so at
present Spybot 1.5.2.20 can not do an immunize properly on Opera.
I had to uninstall it to go back to 9.27 ... fortunately all I lost were my email
account settings. In V9.50 I was not even able to customize the toolbars,
such as adding or removing or moving buttons. This is a bad version, in
my view.

Hey I didn't even notice that until you mentioned it. I was using the 9.5 beta and Gmail looked kinda screwy. All of the text was aligned to the right. Now I'm using the real 9.5 and the text is normal again.

Not crazy about the look, but it works great so far

I downloaded the portable non-install version to give it a try, and I'm impressed. Coming from a longtime Firefox user, I may stick with Opera.
