I just messed around with the Opera AdBlock for a while, and it was just nothing but frustrating. Let me know when they get a better adblock plugin.

The only reason I [used] Firefox over Opera was because of the ad's. I made the switch back to it after reading this. It always felt smoother to browse with. It also has superior zooming support and nice built-in features like RSS and an email client.

The email client is....not the greatest, but the browser rules.

I thought FireFox was awesome (and it still is), but Opera is noticeably faster. I think I'll just have to use both of them!

I use both because Firefox tends to render slowly sometimes, but has better support for ads (even if it is a plugin). I still use AdMuncher for Opera and it works pretty well, not as complete as FF though.

My choice of browser all depends on what page I'm looking at. I'll use opera by default but if it has trouble with a page I'll turn to Firefox. I wish I could just uninstall IE

Rendering engine is a LOT Faster. To me, its almost up to par with ie's speed. I hope they fix that in firefox 1.5. I downloaded the beta and its still slow. Opera what ive seen is pretty good. It does use a ton of memory after you open tabs and open and close.

I still don't understand what people are talking about when they say that IE renders faster than Firefox. This has not been my experience on multiple computers.

Cause it is. I don't have any slow computers either. My slowest is a amd64 2800+ with a gig of ram. Even no my fastest one amd3800+ x2 @ 2570 i can notice a difference. Look at any reviews on firefox and you will usually see the same comment. Im not saying firefox is to slow. Its my main browser i use but i wish the rendering engine would get better in it.

I feel bad for you then, it renders instantaneously for me.
