The only reason I [used] Firefox over Opera was because of the ad's. I made the switch back to it after reading this. It always felt smoother to browse with. It also has superior zooming support and nice built-in features like RSS and an email client.

In what ways is Opera superior to firefox? I've never used opera... i guess i'll give it a spin.
Rendering engine is a LOT Faster. To me, its almost up to par with ie's speed. I hope they fix that in firefox 1.5. I downloaded the beta and its still slow. Opera what ive seen is pretty good. It does use a ton of memory after you open tabs and open and close.
I still don't understand what people are talking about when they say that IE renders faster than Firefox. This has not been my experience on multiple computers.
Cause it is. I don't have any slow computers either. My slowest is a amd64 2800+ with a gig of ram. Even no my fastest one amd3800+ x2 @ 2570 i can notice a difference. Look at any reviews on firefox and you will usually see the same comment. Im not saying firefox is to slow. Its my main browser i use but i wish the rendering engine would get better in it.
