What engine does Opera use to render pages? Proprietary, I would think, right?
*btw*, been on 7.11 for awhile now.
*edit* just moved up to 7.23 - this is pretty cool. I've already noticed some cool functionality.

If Opera were free, this would be no contest.
But the stability of Opera and the feature it has make the price worth it.
Opera wins

If Opera was free, i might consider trying it.
Till then, no contest.
Yeah, that's swell, but you can't make the damn fonts smaller! That also doesn't answer where the stop button is, or where the edit button for this reply is. Uh, thanks for the effort?Originally posted by: crt1530
Change font in Opera...Alt+P; Fonts; go to town.

How the hell do I decrease the font size in opera? Zooming the page out looks like shlt. IE and Mozilla do this without a hitch via the text size option. What's the deal with opera?
...and where's the damn Stop button?
...oh, and where's the fvckin' Edit button for the forum replies? For Christ's sake, what a POS Opera is!

I tried Opera, kinda tough to explain the difference in the way that they rendered the pages... but Firefox just felt like a more solid browser
Opera had a small memory leak (7.11, at least), and also had problems with lagging my entire comp when it was downloading sites with lots of images (as in 2-3mb of images or something like that), the latter of which IE didn't have problems with.
We'll see how 7.23 does.
