opera problem

Just installed Opera and it rockz but I have one problem with it. For some reason when I press the back button my mouse ( Microsoft Internet Exlorer ), Opera wont go back to the previos website.

I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers for my mouse but no luck. Oh and im running windows XP pro

Opera 7 beta2 supports the back button. It's been extremely stable for me, but crashes on certain bb's with links to user's pc's, but not this one. You can take advantage of Opera's other features like holding down left click, then right click (forward) and vice versa for (backward) navigation. Tips for opera are plentiful.

Opera 6.x supports the back button also. My MS mouse works just fine. There's an option in the MS mousedriver software to configure special button functons for individule applications. Check it ou, maybe you can use that to "force" a back button to work in Opera

You can also use the "z" key to step back. There's all kinds of keyboard shortcuts for Opera. There used to be a whole list of them somewhere on Opera's site.

if you mean you have a microsoft intellimouse, you can set the side buttons to go back and forward, here's how:

in control panels, go to mouse. Select "enable program specific buttons." Then click the settings box. The it will give you a box to add programs. Browse for opera.exe and add it to the list. On the right, set the left side mouse button to "z" and set the right mouse button to "x" . Now you should be able to use the side buttons *provided* that you have the microsoft intellimouse and you installed their drivers. Hope this helps.
