Looks like AMD responded.
I absolutely hate the word "trolling", but how can this be meant in any other way than to incite animosity in posters? Or do you have anything concrete on someone?
Am I missing some posts or a statement from AMD somewhere?
Apoppin@ABT said:He brought up - after probably looking up ABT's file - that his PR team had noted that we were untrustworthy - that we had broken an NDA on the HD 6990 launch. i told him that i remembered but that i had *written permission* from AMD's PR company (Byte Communications) to post what i did at the at the time and that i was excused from any wrong doing. And so he asked for the original emails that documented this to be forwarded to him.
Theres a key difference here you arent going around and shilling products and/or services that your company provides. Staying anonymous is one thing, being a shill is something entirely different. Being a shill is actually illegal in some situations.
If there really are AMD shills among us then they need step forward and reveal themselves. The nVidia focus group did, now lets see if you can.
As an aside, itll be interesting to see how Anandtech management reacts to this, if at all. The article seems to be implying that this forum is a sanctioned haven for AMD shills.
Can we get some reform now? If AMD is gonna clean up their act, I look forward to it. Last thing I want is to be targeted as some AMD shill just because I support their products.
Hopefully AMD sticks to their words and shows that they aren't using any underhanded tactics.
Of course, I have to point this out:
So much for shills getting him black listed. While I hope he resolves his issue, he owes ATF and the administrators an apology. Essentially he dragged this forums name through the mud just to find out it was his own fault, even if it was just a simple mistake.
I dont think this is the end of it........and the blacklisting wasnt his fault!..seriously, do you read extra lines between the sentences, Im struggling to understand how you jump to these conclusions?

So after all that he's got nothing. Likely he'll shut up altogether if he gets back on the AMD gravy train. Part of what always made him most offensive is that unlike other reviewers, he seems to delight in free swag, it felt like that is why he became so irrational and started talking the bullshit he did. He was just irked he couldn't get free stuff anymore.
$100 says he never apologizes or retracts a word of it. Worthless reprobate.
Lol, the paranoid lunatic quoted me in his thread, and responded amongst his followers there. So I'm an AMD fan, with no AMD hardware in my system. How does that work? The 680 I own is offended. Don't be mad that in the end, you've shown nothing. LITERALLY NOTHING! How does that make you feel? All that typing you did in your initial "exposé", for nothing. EL OH EL.
Someone said attack the message and not the mssenger, but hey, the guy is an accusatory loser. Everyone is out to get him, anyone who isn't with them is obviously paid for by AMD, Anandtech VC&G forum is paid for by AMD (their words), yadda yadda yadda. Some of you here are a part of that cult and love going back and forth, quoting guys here to go flame and laugh about it over there, all promoted and approved by the loser site owner.
Its sad, but I guess everyone needs a friend .
If he accomplishes his goal with AMD, I'd much rather think that it would be you thanking him instead of him apologizing to you.
Go ahead and laugh your hardest at this statement. If you do it's because you don't really understand that all this wasn't about a pissed off editor that didn't get a toy to play with. Nobody can "make" you understand this, except you.
Yeah AMD Shills,if any, should be exposed just like how the nVIDIA fOCUS gROUP was exposed for shilling all those years ago.Expected.
And OF COURSE I'm an encourager. YOU should have been an encourager, LOL. Many others here should have been encouragers of this process. You probably don't understand what the end game is, do you? What the goal is? Any idea? Do you NOT want AMD employees or affiliates forced into transparency in the forums? Just the affiliation or employment, mind you. Not asking for their social security numbers or anything.
It is logic in it's most basic form. AMD has a transparency clause in their social media policy. Encouraging their employees to post, but also require transparency. The ONLY AMD employee to EVER show transparency, was JFAMD. EVER.
Now, you tell me if it's at all possible that JFAMD is the only AMD employee/affiliate to ever post on Anandtech or any other tech forums.
I want to know who they are. A screen name, and a "I am an AMD employee or and affiliate under it or in a sig. Required by AMD or face sanction.
Expected.
