Opinions on Dell Latitude D600?

I'm looking to get a new notebook as a desktop replacement, primarily used for productivity apps, html programming, wireless internet, NO games, and needed extensively for travel. I priced the below config on dell.com and it came in about $1,900 (w/o coupons, shipping, etc).

Through a family member, I can get a discount on a D600 through his corporate purchase program. Price excludes tax. I'm gonna buy another 256mb from Crucial to bring it to 512mb.

Does anyone have any opinions on the D600, good or bad. I don't know much about it, except that the build quality is supposed to be pretty good.

That Latitude will be just fine for what you are wanting it to do. Good idea on bumping the RAM up to 512.

As for build quality, yes the Latitudes have pretty good build quality.

the d600 is great, and its even better if you dont need it for gaming.
the casing is very nice too.
also, good job on getting the truemobile card; the intel one just doesnt cut it.
