Opinions on DFI NFII ULTRA INFINITY

I am thinking about ditching my old M/B and getting a new one. I have 3 different boards that i like. Abit NF7-S; Albatron KX18D PROII; and the DFI NFII ULTRA INFINITY. I cant find anything on the DFI board i was wondering if there were any opinions on which of the boards were better and why. I would like to use Soundstorm but not a big concern if it doesn't have it.

I would go with the Abit or the Albatron, the DFI is new, and thusly, does not have any "real" reviews out yet that are worth note. By real reviews I do not mean Anand, or AMDMB. I mean real user reviews from people who are not paid. So....since the Abit is is so good, time and time again it reaches 2.3 Ghx with xp1700/2500, I would go for that one, and another reason is that you can easily for a bigger heat sink on it. The Albatron is fairly new but is great also (I built 3 in my friends shop) - terrific boards, and just as good as the Abit, except, the CPU socket, you cant get a larg fan on it. You will have to use a SLK800/900a. If I were to get DFI I would get the Lan Party mobo, but...it comes with crap that most people already have (cables, lan party bag..) and you pay for it.

Well im thinking about going with a Leadtek or DFI or Abit. I like the Albatron but that lack of a +12v in scares me :\. THe only thing holding me back from the Abit is its kinda old. The fastest one that i was thinking about was the albatron, however Leadtek makes excellent M/Bs and Video Cards. I have heard good things about it so ill have to do some more research and reply about what i found.

Lan Party boards are pure quality and made for the overclocker in my opinion .. and the tech support is great , I emailed them about getting a new driver CD and i got a reply with 2 hours ... i dont know if it was just a 1 off but i thinks thats fast .

I have NF2 and 875PRO they both are great boards so i think the infinity will be even better

I have a lanparty nforce II ultra. Its a dream! It was spreading Hot butter on bread setting up, and playing with the bios options (too many). The stuff it comes with is really GOOD STUFF! Thats quite use able. I really like the carry bag, for I travel between - school, moms, dad, girlfriends Quite Often! The Cable are good rounded and UV sentive!

If you want performance and looking COOL, buy one its the one thing I didnt mind spending my cash on, cause I never have any of it!!! This board has future capablities for small server for small business or personel stuff, a MUSIC editing machine with digital outputs to go directly to DAT or whateva.

I put hyperx kingston ram 3500 - 434 mhz. board only said supported 400, but is runs beuatifully for me. The sky is the limit with it, AND chicks dig it!!! They love the pretty colors it puts out. Cause they dont care about any thing else. I put a blue and uv light in it.

I you dont like techno dancing at the club or really fast import tuner cars then get a ASUS. Very boring and sober, but they are better on score cards, but my Step dad Asus p4 is SLOWER than My 2500+ athlon, Dfi, kingston setup. go figure.

He spend ALOT more $$$ than Me! for his new rig.

I used UV paint on my FIC AU13. I just used 2 cans of green,blue on my IDE cables, HSF, and chipset heatsinks, and ordered some UV orange zip ties - looks just as good if not better than the Lan Party - and was easy to do. Best of all I didn't have to pay extra for it As I already had the UV paint. If I were starting from scratch and needed and nforce mobo, and needed IDE cables .etc... I would get the Lan Party - but it's easy to make your mobo UV.

the Infinity board (the new one) has the same options (BIOS) as teh Lanparty B revision (3.3vdimm being the important one!), plus the CMOS Reloaded feature. The only real difference that I can see is that the Infinity is a 'vanilla' packaged board (standard cables, manual, backplate, etc), while the Lanparty B board has all the goodies you could want (and then some...I still have never found a use for all the stuff that comes with it lol).
