Opinions on the Arctic Circle

I know that they are out of stock at coolingstore.com, but I can buy the Arctic Circle from someone else. It seems pretty good, their temperatures are lower than a dual fan + heatsink. They say it isn't that loud either. Is it worth 40 bucks? (I currently have a Golden Orb)

artic circle= Old Panaflo ORbs.

artic-cooler = new articooler that is designed for fc-pga and socket A applications.

its not out yet(late autust/early sept. eta) and yes, it'll work on a socket a t-bird.

In my opinion, I don't think that $40 is worth it for an Arctic Circle. Any update on the price of the Arctic Cooler when they come out? The review of the artic cooler seemed to think it was going to come in under $20. If so, that may beat out the Golden Orb in pure price/performance calculations.

i read that the arctic 'cooler' beats Golden orb in performance and size.. also that it will be around 20-25..
i hope they come out soon..
i want one of them and a geforce MX..

already have the 700e but only at 867 cause i have a tnt..
and it dont seem to work any higher..
at 933 it will run but it gets stuck during 3dmarks...
so...

I got 1 from allelectronics and modified it for my slot 1 550e.
I used the retail fan as a backplate and the ends of the heatsink for the retention clips. You'll have to rewire the fan connector,too.
If you can use a drill press,tap,and have a basic understanding of &quot;marking and layout order&quot; you can do it.
As for cooling,it does a good job. Prime95 with other games running,
OC to 825@ 10% more voltage = 37 Cel. Didn't lose any dimm slots(soyoBA6+lll). They are BIG and Heavy! Machined from a solid piece of alum. Worth the $22.50

I have been hearing upper $20's low $30's for the artic cooler from agilent(from both Millisec and 2cool). 2cool said last week that he heard that it would be delayed until the first week of Sept.

just ordered one Agilent ArctiCooler from www.pc-mac2000.com (german shop) for around 45$ (shipping included).
2 weeks ago they told me that they got 55 of them IN STOCK:

at least i hope, since only now i'm reading everywhere that the ArctiCooler should be available in early September.

maybe the things are different for the european market. or at least i hope so.
